Joel completed his primary and secondary education in Tanga before moving into a customer service career in Arusha. It was there that he first developed an enduring passion for Tanzania’s wild places, starting out as a porter climbing the famous Mt. Kilimanjaro. Driven by his enthusiasm and dedication, Joel went on to become a fully qualified tour guide in 2007—and he’s been leading excited and satisfied clients on grand tours of the African bush ever since.
